I find it frustrating that I can't connect, especially after everything worked OK for the first two days. What changed? I see a lot of other people having the same problem. Version 2.9.11, windows XP, dial up modem (slow), firewall. There is NO activity shown on the connections tab.

you had that firewall before, when it used to work, yes?

considering that you have no activity in the connections tab, i would assume you are either (duh) not dialled in, or your firewall or provider blocks gutella traffic.

my first bet would be to make sure the firewall lets gnutella/limewire traffic through (port 6346, both TCP and UDP).

if you figure out what the problem was, particularly if it's none of the reasons i suggested above, please post it here so others know. as you mentioned, a lot of people seem to have the same problem.
