how can i tell?
 

i have a mac os 9 and my limewire will start and then immediately quit. how can i tell if my cable blocks limewire? also, how can i tell if i have a firewall? whats the difference?? im computer illiterate, i'm so confused....... any help would be appriciated

If Limewire immediately quits upon startup, it's not because your cable blocks Limewire or that your firewall/router is closed, but more likely a memory problem. Try allocating more RAM to Limewire and to java JVM
