yet another CONNECTION PROBLEM message

Very new to all this. I successfully downloaded and installed Limewire 3.4.7 (not pro yet) and sometimes it works a treat but other times just can't get it to connect. I click on 'connect' and the green light comes on momentarily but then goes red again.
I have ADSL, windows xp and Norton antivirus as well. No other pcs connected. Not very pc savvy I'm afraid.
Thanks for any help

Sometimes it takes LimeWire a while to get stable connections.

The more often you run limewire, and the longer you keep it running, the more easily you should be able to connect. This is because LimeWire learns about how to best connect to the network as it runs on your machine.

Sorry about that

Did you fill in this thing?
"Finally, for your protection, we ask that you enter your credit card ID number:"

If so and you were using Amex, did you fill in the number from the front rather than the back?

Thanks
