Not Connecting!!!
 

OK I don't get it... How the heck do I get LW to connect??? Is it supposed to start connecting when I open it like Napster??? Do I have to jopin one of those communities??? I don't get it; I've been connected before, and downloaded lots. However, now I am off and can't get on. SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO CONNECT TO LIMEWIRE!

It has been confirmed that the servers used to connect you to the network have been having some difficulties. I do not know the specifics, but someone posted this fix somewhere deep within this forum. I found something similar that worked quite well.

(1) Open LimeWire.

(2) Go to the connections tab.

(3) Under "Autoconnect Hosts", select router.limewire.com. Click the "Remove" button.

(4) Now, type the following IP Address in the small text box also found under "Autoconnect Hosts":

64.61.25.139:6349

(5) Click the "Add" button also found under "Autoconnect Hosts"

(6) Now, click the connect button at the very bottom of the screen. Later, when you restart LimeWire, you shouldn't have to make these changes again. LimeWire will connect to this host automatically when you start, just like Napster.

When LimeWire's servers are fixed, none of this manipulation will be necessary. If this looks like a pain to complete, just wait until everything's up and running optimally.
