Using College Network and can't connect but friends can
 

Okay so like i downloaded the free version of Lime Wire and it was running really slow but it worked. I am running off of a network from my college and all my friends who have LM says it works great and they have no problems... and that it has this special thing where anyone from our school, their files show up with blue stars. Anyways i have Windows XP, interent explore and now i can not connect at all.... I set the connection speed at T1 but it is just not working and like i am the only one i know who it isn't working for... everyone else has gotten so much from it... I need help what should i do?
