6 files / 27 MB available -- huh?

I am connected, but to what? The window header says: "Running the Gnutella Network (6 files / 27 MB available)." When I run a search the lime spins but the window stays empty. I have never had a search turn up anything. What's up -- or not? Running OSX 10.2.8
