Stupid connection

How come whenever I select "Connect" in the file menu, LimeWire just disconects?

There's probably a block upstream of you that won't allow you to connect. Contact whoever controls your access to the internet. See the help menu for more ideas, and View->Show/Hide->Connections to see what's going on. I guess you've already searched this forum for other stupid connection posts.
