Limewire won't connect is it Norton?? I downloaded Limewire this morning and had it working perfectly, but tried it this afternoon and for some reason it won't connect. I am not sure if it is because of my Norton anti virus software. I may have clicked one of the warnings that prompted me to not allow sharing. I was wondering if someone knows if I can change that if I did click the wrong one. Thanks Scott |
You have to allow shareing. This keeps your ports open for connections. I have got Norton Anti-Virus and have no problem connecting at all. Make sure that port 6346 is open and that your ISP does not block file shareing. deepblue |
Thanks, but still no luck I'm not sure how to make sure that port is open, so if you can offer how to "open it" I'd appreciate it. I followed one set of instructions someone posted about deleting some files and that seemed to work for a while, but once again, I am unable to connect. Thanks for your input deepblue. Scott |
Do you have a firewall or not? I assumed you did. And of course you have to tell me which one you have so I could try to tell you how to open the right ports and force your IP. deepblue |
