disconnected/no files available
 

i can't connect. i've uninstalled lime wire, reinstalled, and still can not get a connection what do i need to do

yo wassup! i read your post and i found out that i have the same problem. can you please tell me what you did to improve the situation? i spent a loong time downloading this limewire and i'm not about to give it up. can you please help me because i can't connect either!!!! thanks a billion!:D

I hear ya both. I just joined Limewire a few nights ago. Didn't have any problems the night I paid the fee. But I haven't been able to get on since. I'm NOT a happy camper. Was gonna tell all my friends and family about this site. Now, I'm not sure I want to. Me being frustrated as H**L is enough. Can ANYONE help? I've gone to "FILE" then "CONNECT" like the tips say to at least 50 times and still nothing.

There are a lot of those strange connection problems popping up recently. I'm not sure what's causing them because I've never experienced them.

Deleting your ".limewire" settings directory may solve your problems but the real reason for all those problems has yet to be found.

deleting the library worked 1st time for me, now wont work at all

Mine quit working after I installed iTunes - do any of you have iTunes installed - I am on XP.

Did any of you even look at trap_jaw's post? There a possible solution. You could be on a network that blocks gnutella, your ISP could block file shareing, or your firewall could be blocking your connections.

Just found this thread. Same thing happened to me....where are the moderators ont his site? why arent they answering our queries? Does anyone know if there is a way of contacting direct to get this sorted.

Some people have lives around here. Believe it or not our worlds do not revolve around solveing your problems. Why not open your eyes and look at some of the posts that trap_jaw and I have made in this thread.

What are you talking about uninstalling? I was talking about deleting your ".limewire" folder - which might help in some cases. However the developers recommend installing the latest beta:

i came off line and then the nex t time i went on line
5 mins later
it wouldnt connect

the beta thing worked for me after i deleted everthing off then went back and downloaded the limewire beta everything has been fine

I have XP, and after purchasing the Pro version I thought my "disconnected/no files available" error would disappear - sadly no. Read through several forum posts and this is how mine was sorted: firstly removed firewall - still didn't work, so reinstated it; then deleted .limewire folder, didn't work; unchecked the "automatic logon" in the options tab and HEY PRESTO! I'm back online and ready to rock! Thanks to this forum I have solved my problem!
