no recovery from wrong IP?
 

I have my LimeWire set to force IP with whatever address my ADSL provider gives me. Whenever I change the configuration of my Linksys gateway, however, it re-connects to my ISP and gets a new IP address. If I don't remember, LimeWire will continue to Force IP with the old address. In this situation, I can still connect and download, but no one else is able to get uploads from me.

What this is telling me is that only Pull requests are being attempted (and are failing because the wrong IP address is being advertised).

Shouldn't the Gnutella protocol fall-back to Push requests?

Even with the wrong IP advertised, my LimeWire should still be able to Push files, shouldn't it?
