 No search button I downloaded limewire last night and i downloaded a couple of songs. Now when i connect to the internet and click on lime wire, I get the page but there is no search button. when i click on connect nothing happens...help!  |

 You need to wait a little longer before you complain about not being able to connect. If you have this problem for more that 3 or 4 days, then reply back. deepblue

| Limewire used to work great (I have Basic version 3.6.15, running on Mac OS X Panther), but now whenever I open it it says "Disconnected/No Files Available" on the top of the window. This has been happening for about 5 days now. Any thoughts or ideas at all??? |

| I downloaded the new version (very nice), but I am still having the same problem. Now a message comes up that says "your machine does not appear to have an active internet connection, or a firewall is blocking Limewire from accessing the internet." I don't really know anything about firewalls, but I found the settings in system preferences and thought I fixed all the settings so it would work and then clicked on "connect" from the file menu in LW, but nothing happened. help? | You need to find out if you have a firewall or not. If you do you need to force your IP and open port 6346 or allow the application: "javaw.exe". Good luck. deepblue

| thanks a lot, now LW is connecting... but only sometimes. and all the other times it just says "connecting" in the bottom left hand corner for a long time, and then disconnects itself. i still haven't been able to download anything, because it only stayed connected long enough for me to do one search. |
