Disconnected Message

I INSTALLESD LIMEWIRE LAST WEEK AND IT WAS WORKING WELL.
TODAY IT WILL NOT WORK. I GET A DISCONNECTED MESSAGE EVEN THOUGH I AM CONNECTED TO THE NET. IS THIS USUAL OR WHAT IS THE ANSWER TO THIS?. THANKS.

Try disconnecting from the net altogether, maybe even turning off the modem (after having previously quit Limewire), then reactivate modem, then net hen Lime. That's what I do when I get this connection issue and it always works, although its somewhat annoying.

THANKS FOR THE REPLY. I DID AS SUGGESTED BUT I AM STILL DISCONNECTED.THE HELP SECTION GIVES HELP FOR WINDOWS XP BUT NOT FOR WIN 98.COULD THE PROBLEM BE MY AVG ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAMME?
