That's nothing, Fiona... I still 'speak DOS' (A great party-stopper, btw !) There ARE some people around here who are sympathetic and who actually remember that everything is new to someone at some time... Don't panic, you will get some help which may even be clear and simple... But, beware... Explaining how to solve problems in the most clear and simple way normally requires far more words ! (It is also worth trying to understand that often when someone does give aid, and starts with the basics, they are met with a tirade declaring that the questioner is NOT a 'newbie' and that they don't like being 'insulted' ! - Ya can't win sometimes !) Please also observe that there are many, many, many people who post here with precisely the same problems... And there is very often a post in the SAME forum and regularly immediately below their post that explains and answers the problem(s) !!! This does create a certain degree of 'frustration' amongst the 'regulars' as it's a bit hard to deal with people who cannot be bothered to read ! LOL Now, your side of the deal !!! - - - Always include, in your first assistance requesting post, plenty of info on your system, i.e. Computer type Operating System Internet connection type Other installed programs such as Firewalls or other applications which may affect your connection And anything else you may think of that could help others to quickly respond to you... I mean, Quote:
Hang in there ! 'urs'
