when I connect to the net it crashes.
 

Hi can anyone help when I connect to the net I get windows illegal op javaw has caused fault in kernel 32.dll at 015f : 6ff9709. and if I start limewire and don't connect to the net it's okay soon as I connect thats it what a bummer. I was using 1.4 lwire was working till friday then it started happening so I dloaded 1.6 unistalled 1.4
installed 1.6
no change. I am using win 98 160mgs ram 500mhz chip.

It seems that at least most of the problems people are having with limewire have to do with spyware. I had a bunch of it on my WIN98SE system placed there by gozilla and gator. It seems like every program that is ad sponsored places this stuff on your hard drive. The solution listed below worked for me. Be warned however that if you choose to remove the spyware some ad sponsored utilities may cease to work
