I'm new at this, and I'm very frustrated!! I CAN'T CONNECT EITHER! I THOUGHT THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE EASY!!! Can someone give me "DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS" on how to get connected? Please remember that I'm NEW TO EVERYTHING...LOL...

Driving is easy, but if the garage door is locked, you ain't going nowhere. Explaining how to unlock your garage is not easy if you've never done it. Sigh. Even if you do unlock your garage, the city may have put a wall around your driveway.

Anyway, IF someone tries to help they need much more info.

Next, call your ISP (whoever takes your money to allow you to connect to the Internet) and ask them

"Do you allow filesharing?" and
"Do you allow connections to the gnutella network on Port 6346?"

If the answers to both questions are 'Yes', then you know the highway is open and someone might take the time to help you get the car out of the garage.

If you'd please supply the info about your computer system and what version of LimeWire it will help others to help you more quickly !

The more 'detailed' info you give in the beginning, the faster your problem can, hopefully, be solved.

I'll call my ISP, and find out the info. I need. My computer is running on Windows 2000, and Limewire is 3.8.5.

Easier and it will give you a lot more info and truth than your ISP ever could !
