McAfee Firewall - Can't connect Apologies from a newbie, but I have spent hours reading this forum and can't find an answer to my particular problem. I just installed McAfee personal firewall with their Internet Security Suite 6.0. I cannot connect LimeWire unless I disable the firewall. I have tried all the suggestions that Mcafee tech support gave me, as well as the section on the Limewire website under the topic of firewall issues. Does anyone have a fool-proof fix to this problem? I know you have to be able to connect through a firewall. |
So you've configured your fire wall to allow connections on port 6346? You say that you can connect without a problem if the firewall is disabled, right? Sounds to me like you have done everything you can to try to get connected. Personally I think that McAfee works way too well, it cripples your computer and ruins your experience. Although it does its job very well, it even works as an IDS! Anyone know any different? deepblue |

McAffee firewall I totally disabled my McAffee firewall, rebooted without it, and STILL can't connect. |
