I just downloaded Limewire and I can't connect I've tried all the ideas previously mentioned.
I disconnected Windows XP firewall and Norton and I am still stuck
Please Help

Are you on a network? If you are, it could be blocking Gnutella or fileshareing, and keeping you from connecting. The same with a normal ISP.

It really sucks that there are all these complaints on this "forum." Why doesn't tech support answer these??? Why is there need for a forum--the blind leading the blind--if tech support is any good?

You should really try to know what you are talking about before you say something totally stupid like that. The developers are far too busy to answer these questions. However if you are a LW pro customer, you can send your problem to them . The blind leading the blind? There are a lot of people who know exactly what they are talking about, in these forums. Those people do not get paid for their work and do not work for LimeWire, myself included. If you even bothered to read a single post, before you wrote this nonsense, you could clearly see that users do get help. Please leave these forums and only come back when you have a legitimate question and/or can give LW users accurate advise.
