Connection yea or nea?
 

Limewire is saying I'm connected. If I click to monitor connections, I have several outgoing connections showing I am sharing my files. However, I try downloading files and I get an error saying a firewall may be blocking my connection. So, I turn off my firewall, ensure XP firewall isn't running either, and still I have no ability to download. This started about a week ago. I upgraded today to Pro thinking maybe it was just poor free software. Now I'm a bit mad that I forked out the dough and can do nothing but upload. I have a brand new computer less than a year old with specs that can run nearly any program on the market and a Cable connection. This cannot be a spec problem. There is a conflict somewhere but I have no idea where or how to find it. Any suggestions?

Yes, although probably not the kind of suggestions you'd want: don't turn your firewall off, but instead configure it they way they tell you to in these forums (or in the help section but I can't remember well where it is).
