Default no rounter = Ultrapeer/Router = Leaf

If I connect Limewire while my ethernet cable goes directly from my cable modem to my WinXP computer, I connect as an ultapeer. Man, the downloads happen so much better! Searches are robust.

If I put my Belkin Router in line, I only connect as a Leaf and Limewire is pretty much useless. Only 6 hosts and searches take a long time and rarely do I find what I'm looking for.

Is there a way to open up a port on my router to let me connect as an Ultrapeer?

Thanks,

Jaylaca

Or if you'd prefer not to end up out in space, try this link: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=24523

I don't know if it's relevant but also view: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml
