Saving settings changes

When I try to change any settings
tools/options/ it never saves the settings - not allowing me past the XP sp2 firewall, which has a rule to allow limewire past!!

any ideas!

Whenever you change any settings in the Options you need to press the 'Apply' button & then press OK button.

There is no 'apply' button, it's the 4.0.8 client version!

Oh my appologies, the mac versions have it but perhaps the windows versions don't. I use LW 4.0.4 & 4.1.5 beta.

ithe apply button is there in all versions, - unless you don't have the standard fonts installed and there are problems displaying the options window.

Do you have any suggestions for making these buttons appear? I need them to force the port and make LimeWire work. I think i have the newest version anyway.

IT WARKS!!

Hehe. Shortly after posting this i made a pleasing discovery. The option buttons were invisible because the window was too small. Anyone with this problem can simply make the window larger until the buttons come into view. (Note: the buttons will not appear until you have clicked off after dragging the window out.)

SP2 + Limewire work (and SP2 is not bad... unless you like rampant worms and viruses)

You should be able to solve your problem quite easily. See:

Hope this helps,

J

PS SP2 is not bad... unless you like rampant worms and viruses!

Dare I suggest but you might also include for those of you with this small dilemma about finding the apply & ok buttons: This small thread & its link! (click on link.) Hope this is of some xtra help to those of you who missed it.
