Long time user cant connect

I have been using LW for months and have had no problems at all but recently I have been unable to connect. I am sharing over 300 files and have tried clicking 'connect' on the File menu but this does nothing. I used to always have a really good connection with all green lights but now I am showing all red lights saying Disconnected. Whats going on? Help!!!!

Hope you dont have any rare/important incompeltes. Delete and re-install works for me but I dont like having to reinstall evey single time I want to connect after quiting limewire.

There must be another way other than uninstalling and reinstalling the while program, I have used LW for months without any problems?

Have u recently installed any new apps or updated your OS? For those who have updated to xp sp2 there's been many issues. Some people have suggsted solutions that've worked but they don't work for everybody. Have you checked that your Java is the most recent version?

Well if anybody suspects they do have xp sp2 probs, I have some links (that I could find): First,
Second
Third
Fourth
Five bug fix
And you might even find more if you search. For those long threads u might also find something on a previous page.

Cracked it!!!!! Not sure whether this will work for everyone but this is what i did and it worked first time....went into and Control Panel then Add/Remove Programs and clicked on Limewire on the Change/Remove button and then it comes up with options and one of them is Repair. After clicking that and letting it do its thing I connected immediately!!!

Hope this helps others.....:)
