CAn't connect. tried everything that was posted
 

I'm starting to get annoyed with this program. I bought Limewire pro 4.0.8. i have windows XP and I am connected through my schools network. I have tried deleting the folder " C:/Documents And Settings/your_username/.limewire" and i have tried changing options about connection, i also did the firewall recommondation by add the 2 different poxy things and download the Jar file nothing has work. for paying 18 dollar this is become a waste of time. :( please help me if you can. or give me the contact infomation for someone that can refund my money atleast.

warning: school networks may block p2p that might be why it doesn't work. if you kno your schools network admin ask him/her if you don't try to find someone that does. he might allow it. you might just want to ask him yourself just as a question, and don't mention you downloaded Limewire, installed and all that stuff depending on where you live he might not like that... I hope he'll let you through

At my job they have P2P turnded off. is there anything I can do to go around that. I just want to be able to DL music it dont have to be with limewire. Is there some thing out there that I can use? Maybe a website or something.

Note Im on a Mac.

do you think you can get them to turn it on with no hassle lets not forget you don't want to get fired...
