Getting around a college firewall

I just realised that the reason I'm not able to connect could be that the college firewall is stopping me from doing so. Is there anything I can do to get around this, short of bribing the tech guy etc?

This is the best solution. ;)

If you manage to break through the firewall the change is very high that they catch you. The school won´t be very happy about this because they pay per traffic and filesharing is causing a lot of traffic.
