Exclamation Connection problems

Seems like I'm not the one with this problem, LimeWire seems to be a good program, well upto a couple of days ago. Now it seems to connect for a breif period and then LimeWire flashes up a error message "Your machine doesn't seem to have a active connection" which isn' the case. And now on those brief occassions it does maintain a connection it's extremely slow. It shows that it is downloading from a host at 0kb/s.....reminds me of Kazaa . Any help would be greatly appreciated.

- I'm running Xp Pro (disabled Xp's firewall)
- Dialup connection
- Sygate Firewall (which I've temporarily disable, to ensure it wasn't the problem)
- LimeWire the basic edition

See if these tips help (click on link.) Remember you're on dial-up & must make the most of (not waste) your bandwidth. Over searching/dwnlding can affect your connection quality greatly. The above link drifts into just that & some reasons why.

I am having the same problem which is driving me around the bend. Is there any one out there who can help with some advice.
I have just purchased Limewire and LimePro and for the life of me I cannot see the difference in the download speed. Is there something I am doing wrong? HELP
