Cannot Connect I cannot connect in limewire and had previously been able to. It says that I may have a firewall or something but I disabled my windows firewall, disabled mcafee, checked my limewire settings, and even tried deleting my preferences. Nothing has worked and I don't know what else to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot. |
Salut, what OS? mac os x, windows, linux? Got a router? Do you see connections attempts in the connections tab (enable it in display - display/hide menu). Do you have connections at startup enabled (go in options -connections)? Bonne chance |

@ Ry Guy 16 Did you install SP2? http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=28437 Morgwen |
Ok, I installed that on my computer and I tried to make ports for limewire with all the 6346 stuff but nothing is working still. I uninstalled the whole program and reinstalled and did everything over and no connection is there still. Please help. Thanks. |
What's your answer to this?: When LW is open, click Tools->Options & go to Bug report & click for an example. In the window that appears scroll down to the part that says: "Recieved incoming this session". If it says ‘True’ then LW has no problem with firewalls, but if 'False' it does have a prob. |
it says false. |
Ditto!! I have the same problem and can't now connect. I only managed it for an evening! I have checked the debug and have the same result as above! Any help will be apprciated! My connection comes up as true? |

Alright, I used to get 2 messages and now I just see one that says "LimeWire was unable to set up a port to listen for incoming connections. Some features of LimeWire may not work as expected." What does this mean and how do I fix it? Thanks a lot for any help! |
Tell us your comp configuration; connection type, brand & model & other devices such as routers; firewalls; OS version, RAM, Java version & any other details that might help, particularly details about what you've observed. |
