Firewall Issues I need help. I've been using limewire for about a month or so now. The other day I did a standard live update to my norton antivirus software. After I restarted the computer as they recommended I opened up my limewire. Now I can't connect, It pops up with a error message saying that I either don't have a connection to the internet or my firewall setting aren't allowing me to connect. I know for a fact that I'm connected to the internet. I've tried changing my firewally setting through windows and even turned it completely off. Nothing I seem to do is working. Does anyone know what I should try or how to change the firewall settings to allow me to connect through limewire and continue downloading music and such... Please HELP!!!! :confused: |
orangeglow18, You said you turned off your Windows firewall but did you turn off Norton? If not try that. If you connect then open Norton from the taskbar, select "personal Firewall", select "Configure", select the "Programs" tab, scroll down and remove "Limewire" and "Javaw", enable Norton and try Limewire. When Norton inquires about Java and Limewire select "automatically configure" when it asks if you want to turn on auto config select "No". Good Luck, Norm |
