No can do to connect!!! OS X with all updates

Okay -- I have spent 4 days reading, installing, deleting preference folders, setting firewalls, trashing and re-installing -- reading some more and doing it all over again -- and I still can not connect!

Quite frustrating really!!

Here is what I am running and what my settings are configured to
System -- OS X (brand new Mac G5)
Running 10.3.5
512 MB DDR SDRAM

Limewire 4.1.7

SIMPP version: 3

Under Advanced:
•Listening port 8080 (configured for our system) -- should this be 6346 for gnutella?
•Force Local IP is checked -- Port is 6346
•Proxy -- HTTP Radio button is checked with the proxy IP address to get through our Novell Border Manager -- Port is set to 8080

Under Apple System Preferences:
*Sharing
•Services tab -- Personal File Sharing is checked
•Firewall tab -- Firewall is listed as on
•Personal File Sharing (548, 427) is checked
•iTunes Music Sharing (3689) is checked
•Gnutella/Limewire (6346) is checked

This is my system. This is how it is configured. NOW WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO CONNECT?

Please help.

Thanks

Whew! complex network--the thorough info really helps. Although most of your settings look good, something is still blocking incoming connections, or this line would say "TRUE"

I can't help with the proxy settings and the forced IP port, but if you are listening on 8080, the firewall probably needs 8080 to be opened too.

The Network pane of System Preferences, under the Ethernet tab, also has a tab for Proxy settings. Perhaps the person responsible for the Proxy server could advise you how that should be set up?

I set both of the ports to 8080 under the preferences -- Advanced tabs. I went to Network and eternet proxy configs and made some changes there. The FTP Proxy, Web Proxy (HTTP) Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS), Streaming Proxy (RTSP) SOCKS Proxy, Gopher Proxy are all checked and configured for our Novell system. Use Passive FTP Mode (PASV) is NOT checked -- but still can not connect.

Anything else to try??
