Conection probl.

I am a firsttimer on LW.
Running XP-pro, SP2. Local wireless conection to the net.
PC-cillin firewall-AV.

Running LW 4.0.8 on PC#1, everything is OK. (Quality:Excellent)

On PC #2, (same configuration as on #1), I got (Quality:Poor).
After a short time, every time i started LW, it was trying to connect, and got a warning-box about some firewall problems/no internernet connection. Last time I ignored the warning (did not push the "OK" button and left the box on top)
After some time I got "Quality:Excellent" still with warningbox on top.
Have not stopped LW, DL is ok, but I am afraid the same thing can happend again. (do not know if I will be online or offline) :-(

Do anybody know what is happening??

You're using 2 comps on same line so I presume they're networked or you're using a router. With some routers you need to use (port forward ) a different port for any other comp. Do you also use a router & if so what brand & model no.?

using 3com 3CRWE554G72

1 main IP, both PC are online at the moment, and is working.
have not made any changes to the ports.

each have got it's own IP on the local net

Can you please run a sample Bug Report in LW for both your computers Directions & sample image here (click on link)
You 'might' need to port forward for one or both of your computers How to forward a port on 3com 3CRWE554G72 & the settings needed in LW: Instructions & sample image. You might not need to change anything here if both your reports for incoming on the bug report are true.!!

on both pc's

Received incoming this session: false

check the Tools->Options->Advanced for the port number each LW is using. When two or more LW's run, each uses a different port.

OK, that means that people are struggling to connect to you for uplding. I'm not definite, but I'd suggest you'll need to use different port no.'s for forwarding. You can use 6346 on one computer & a similar no. on the other. Instructions are in the links I gave above.

Joey415 November 11th, 2004 05:08 AM

both are listening on 6346, but they are both working at the moment

by the way, forget, #2 is running LW pro now, (are in turbo now)
but this problem was before it was upgraded too

Again, I'm not sure it's wise to have them running on the same port. Certainly with my router each computer 'must' use a separate port. And Stief also stressed this. Do another incoming report & see how they both report. If they are both fine (True), then perhaps you can get away with it. But any probs in future & I'd suggest you give them their own port no.'s.

You were quick Stief, I must have just started replying when you answered. lol

tryed when I get the warning sign, changing to something in range 25***, (but has never been "true"), it is UL and DL even if it is "false" ??
