Cant connect
 

I can not connect. I followed instructons to change network setting but no help.

I am using xp home on a new laptop computer.

Have you configured your firewalls? See instructions here to allow LW access: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml

What connection devices are you using? What modem & router brand name & model no.'s? Where are you connecting from (home, school, work, etc.)?

Yes I configured my firewall as per Limewire online instructions.

I am connecting from home using a modem: Actiontec MDC AC'97, v2132D. Driver version 2.1.32.0 7/25/2003 from Agere. I do not have a router.

Yayy I did it!!

I followed the instructions in thred # 2332 by Lord of Rings. My problem was I needed the Java latest. I used ver 1.4. After instlling I fired up Linme and it connected just fine.
