Can't connect. Please help.
 

On the bottom left, It says "connecting" but never connects. I did a search for a mainstream band and I get the following message " Limewire is currently connecting to the network. Your search may not return many results until you are fully connected to the network."

I updated Java and deleted that preferences file. I'm still not able to get anything at all. I'm on my home computer....running Windows XP via cable modem. My router is a D-Link DI-624.. What could the problem be?

Either your firewalls & or ANd your modem routers NAT which is similar to a firewall. For fireall configuration to allow LW access see here: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml

Can you tell us your modem & router brand & model number so we can check to make sure there's no nat devide here. If there is, then we'll need to forward a port (give LW access) for it.
