Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network. (not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

jason_dews why don't you register at this forum. Then you can get notice about replies & use pm functions etc & if you need help in the future. Wow Telstra are a bit expensive for me. The reason I was asking about your modem is that many cable & broadband modems use firewall type protection which reduces incoming. This can reduce your connectivity for purposes of p2p, games & video conferencing. You'd need to do what's known as forwarding a port which will allow LW access. That's why it's important to obtain this info. You will will need to configure your norton firewall to allow Limewire (LW) access.
