Still can't connect

I can't connect at all. It just says connecting forever. I have never been able to connect EVER! My friend says it could be because I use dial up. Could this be possible? I cant connect because I use a phone line??? Please help!!!

Mine says connecting all the time too and I am on broadband, so I don't think it is your dial-up. When I downloaded LW, it connected me and allowed me to download but then has remained "connecting" ever since.

There's lots & lots of dial up users who use LW. Chances are it's a firewall.
kermor1010: You use broadband. Can you give us some details:
1. OS version,
2. What firewalls you have,
3. ram, 4. HDD space available,
5. Connection type,
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers,
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?

These details are vital if you want us to find out what your connection problem is.

You can try deleting LW's prefs folder called .limewire found here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

You don't use any type of cable/broadband modem???
