Downloaded can't use
 

I downloaded Limewire today and I've been trying to start the program and it keeps saying connecting down at the bottom it has been like this for about an hour, hour and a half I need help and I don't know what to do someone please help

I have the same problem! I just downloaded limewire approx. and hour ago, but it won't fully connect at all.
I have Windows XP on cable, I did all the "gnutella" stuff to my firewall that was mentioned on the limewire website, I deleted that .limewire stuff, I downloaded that jar file, but none of it gets me connected?!!? Why is this program so hard to get connected??
I remember when napster and kazaa came along I just dl'ed them and immediately started searching for songs, as easy as that!
Somebody please help me out, any tips are appreciated, but I don't want to read through anymore 50 page threads that get me nowhere!
