not connecting please help
 

new user its showing that is connecting but thats as far as it gose ive got windows xp and Trend micro internet security viris protection can you please give me a hint on what too do thank you

Can you give us some more details as to your setup?

1. Where are you connecting from (home, school, work, etc.)?
2. What is your modem-router brand name & model number?
3. Do you have SP2 installed?

A. You are using XP so have you configured your firewall(s) for LW & Java to have full access: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml

B. Update your Java: Java 1.4.2 (click on link)

C. Update your LW to 4.2.5: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

thank you 4 replying i think the modem- router name & model number is, i media M838, ALT-C02. what is SP2 please explain. How do i figure my firewall 4 LW & java. im connecting from home. i have LW 4.2.5 & how do i up date java to 1.4.2
