While checking the System profiler-system log, this message appears whenever I have been trying to connect to Limewire-
Date-time-local host crash dump Unable to determine CPS Process Ser Num pid:608 name Limewire

Also within System Profiler, Limewire does not appear within Software,Applications or Extensions. If it is downloaded surely it should show as softwear?

Thanks for your support!

Limewire appears as an app in my system profiler. Did you tried to install that version LODR recommended you: http://www.mager.org/LimeWire/ ?

Thanks for the reply.
Just had my Computer tech' have a look at my system, he says its in fine health and cant understand why Limewire will not install or work properly. It looks like LW stopped working when the latest apple update came down the wire and was installed OSX version 10.3.7 this arrived the day that Limewire stopped working. Could that be the problem?

I have asked a few times about installing LW.
Is it normal for it to say 5% completed then instantly say completed? It seem far to quick!

I am missing LW and I dont seem to be the only person with this problem.

Thanks for your help.

The same issue has affected a no. of people the exact same way. You will find a standalone updater at mac for 10.3.7 Online installations can & have been be an issue!!!!

But 1st, may I suggest you use the Java Standalone installer to re-install Java: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macos...update142.html

What do you mean by a stand alone installer for 10.3.7?

10.3.7 arrived direct from Apple and has been installed on my computer.

I have just installed the version 2 Java.
Thanks again.

There's 2 ways of installing softw. One is over the net, so it dwnlds & installs itself. The other is to dwnld the installer & manually install it. The latter is often better b/c it reduces chances of installation errors due to the complications with installing over the net. eg: some dwnld packets may be damaged or not reach in time for the instlaler or ... ?

Here's a link to the OS 10.3.7 Standalone installer: http://search.info.apple.com/?as_q=1...&Submit=Search so yu have a choice b/w the minor update or the combo. I've heard the Combo is the best way to go in situations like this! ( but it is much larger.) But remember, you should always repair permissions both before & after you install softw: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...6094#post96094
