You may want to have a shot at actually explaining what your problem is...

And, give a LOT more info on your system...

WHAT version of LimeWire ?
Have you installed the XP Service Pack 2 recently ?
WHERE are you connecting ? (School or office or what) ?

WHAT type of connection are you using ?

Man, you have got to do your bit, ALSO !

It was the attitude & lack of info that I hesitated to answer the issue.

Since you answered another thread. OS means Operating System; eg: Windows 98 or windows xp.

For a start try these things: 1. Update your Java: http://www.limewire.com/english/cont...radejava.shtml

2. Delete your LW prefs folder called .limewire & found here: Windows NT 4.0 / 2000 / XP: C:/Documents And Settings/your_username/.limewire
For Windows 98 / ME: Your .limewire folder is in "C:\My Documents"

Also try this: 3. Repair LimeWire using the Add/Remove Programs utility. Go to Control Panel then Add/Remove Programs & click on Limewire on the Change/Remove button & it comes up with options and one of them is Repair. Try this.
4. Right-clicking the Limewire icon and going to properties and changed compatability setting to Windows 2000.
5. Confiure your firewalls to allow both LW & Java full access: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml
