I am having the same problem. It downloaded OK but will not connect. I know you fixed a similar problem with the Windows vers., now can you fix it for Macs too please? |
same problem here - also, the help file did not work. |
Same problem over here... |
After many hours of frustration. Same problem here. Are there any other good mp3 sites for a mac? Need help or a switch. |
me too. I used to be able to atleast make two or three connections which I hated but i l now long for it. I tried reinstalling vers1.4b but that didn't solve it. All I get is "searching waiting for members" messages and than a failed to connect message. |
Same Here It had been working great until about 2 days ago. Then it just tries to connect with the limewire.router and won't. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still the same. What's going on. Please Help Us. RRackley@ev1.net |
Same problem and it just started. Same as other folks' problem. Ran fine until about three days ago and now won't connect. I uninstalled and reinstalled—no help. When I open Limewire, it says "connecting" and the "discovered hosts" keep changing and the connecting never gets connected. It just slowly runs thorough all "connecting" attempts and then NOTHING. Waaah! Can anyone help? Please!!?? Thanks, Win |
Fix for not connecting Hi, I found a fix that works for me after searching the forums and FAQs. Original problem was I'd been connecting fine (via Mac) and then could no longer connect at all. This is what I found in an FAQ: <<<3-6Q. I was connected to LimeWire just fine, but now it doesn’t connect. If I click the connect button, nothing happens. 3-6A. Try typing these host cache addresses into the address field on the Connections tab: connect1.gnutellanet.com:6346 connect2.gnutellanet.com:6346 connect3.gnutellanet.com:6346 connect4.gnutellanet.com:6346 >>> You go to the connections tab and, under AutoConnect Hosts, type those addresses above one at a time and click "add" after each one. As soon as I did this I was connected again. Hope it works for others, Win |
help connecting w/ mac Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! It worked for me too. I was beginning to think I'd lost the use of Limewire and would have to use the god awful Mactella. Any tips you find re: gnutella/macs I'd be thrilled to receive at Battmoon@aol.Com |
