limewire wont connect
 

i have recently downloaded lime wire and it says connecting when i try to search. it has been that way since i started. i have windows xp, 512 mb ram, 160 gb hard drive. i wish this would work!!!

Update your Java: Java 1.5 (take the JRE)

What is:
1. your Connection type,
2. Modem & router brand name & model numbers,
3. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?

Go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ & tell us what happens. It should say Test page was a success.

Depending on how many incomplete & shared files you have, LW can take some time to settle down. Wait a while until it does before trying to search for files.
