since buying limewire pro cannot connect Since buying limewire pro I am finding it impossible to connect. It just constantly is saying 'connecting'. Have tried the purger jar, I have permited all in in norton and have been through documents & settings and nothing works. HELP!!!!!! |
Try these things one by one until one works: 1. Delete the LW Preferences folder called .limewire (whilst LW is closed!) & found here: C:/Documents And Settings/your_username/.limewire 2. Update your Java: Java 1.5 (take the JRE) 3. Repair LimeWire using the Add/Remove Programs utility. Go to Control Panel then Add/Remove Programs & click on Limewire on the Change/Remove button & it comes up with options and one of them is Repair. Try this. 4. Right-clicking the Limewire icon and going to properties and changed compatability setting to Windows 2000. 5. Right-click on the Limewire icon on the desktop and click on Run as. Then it should come up showing the current user and then switch it over to Administrator. |
didn't work Thank you very much for all the possible soultions but unfortunatly none of them worked. Any other suggestions? |

What firewalls you have, 3. ram, 4. HDD space available, 5. Connection type, 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers, 7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
