Can you give us a total desciption of your set up:
1. OS version,
2. What firewalls you have,
3. ram, 4. HDD space available,
5. Connection type,
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers,
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?

I have Windows XP.
I dont have any Firewall enabled and if i enabled it it would be with Windows. I have Mcafee virus scan but it does not have a firewall. I also have AOL 9.0 but it doesnt have a firewall. My laptop is always connected to DSL Cable. I connect from school.
Even when I was connected to dial up at home it wouldnt work and the modem would be Agere Systems AC'97 Modem...

Windows XP has its own firewall. McAffee has its own firewall. And schools tend to block p2p (but not all.) And many people hve issues with AOL & LW.

Configuring firewalls for LW: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml

Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say ‘Test Page was a Success’. What happens when you go there?

You could try some fixes: Fixes for Limewire

When i click on the browser for your simple test it says page not found.
