University Network Blocking Gnutella

How do I get around this? Is there any way? When I log in to AOL using my soon to be deactivated account through a normal phoneline Limewire works fine, but when I'm using the network card I can't get Limewire to connect. I'd appreciate some info, I'd like to be able to download at the higher speeds now that I have a decent connection.

You college is covering its own rear by not allowing you to have access to the Gnutella network. As of this posting, there is nothing you can do. Sorry. :-(

Under Tools > Options, on the Network tab, you could try changing the listening port to something else, such as 6350 or 6347, but no one has posted about any success they've had with this.
