Try reducing your upload bandwith in LimeWire.

1)Tools 2)options) 3)uploads 4)basic

Also might want to disable Ultrapeer capabilities

3)speed

vactube@hotmail.com February 5th, 2005 05:11 PM

have already done all those things, looked throu the options to see anything that might cause any problems and turned them off

You might want to upgrade to the latest version of LimeWire:

It overcomes some of the problems in version 4.2.6

4.2.6 seems to be the newest one from what i can see, and that is the one i run

They haven't changed the website yet to show the new version yet. They are working on that. The link I put up will download Version 4.4.1 even though the website says it's version 4.2.6

Sorry for the confusion:o

vactube@hotmail.com February 5th, 2005 05:52 PM

how do i get it without rebuying?

fabion February 5th, 2005 06:00 PM

The basic version is free. If you purchased Pro you should have 6 months of free upgrades. The link should be in the e-mail they sent or your personal Pro page.

You can try reducing your download bandwith, upload bandwith, Disable UltraPeer capabilities, and disable OOB searching.

It looks like you may have a resource problem. 256 Mb of ram is stretching the limits of what you are asking it to perform.

I also didn't see what type of cpu you had.

It looks as though you are try to get all these programs to run at the same, and they are all fight for the available resources.
