Connection Problem solved, not listed here
 

After following many of the suggestions here my connection problem was solved by stopping another downloading program I was using (Mp3downloading.com) - after I closed that program which also uses Gnutella I tried to reopen Limewire and it worked.

Don't know whether that has already been mentioned before or whether I should have known that anyway but I didn't and now I do.

Just thought I'd let you all know.
