my ports are screwed

I recently reinstalled an old registry file, which has caused all the programs that connect to servers not to be able to connect, Programs like: Seti@Home, CDDB, WinAmp, and Limewire, does anyone know what's going on?...I just uninstalled a Firewall too...Is this the problem do you think?
