Search problem! Please help!

I type in my search information and hit the "search" button. But no results are returned. The right side of my screen stays grey.

Why won't it let me see the files to download?

What colour are the connection bars in the bottom left hand corner. If they're all red then you're probably firewalled.

Can you give us a total desciption of your set up:
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. ram?
4. HDD space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...)
These details are vital if you want us to find out what your connection problem is.

Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say ‘Test Page was a Success’. What happens when you go there?

Configure your firewalls here: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml

Is this the 1st time you've used LW?

Without knowing which version of LW you have (see above '8' about how to find out) then try these: Fixes for Limewire

OK well that means you can't use the repair option for LW but you can delete your LW preferences folder see instructions in previous link. Remember LW must be closed when you delete the prefs folder.
