help! i'm having similar problem.

Before I started new thread I wanted to search for something similar to my problem, and found one.

I hope someone can help both of us!!

I have Windows ME also, and Pentium 3. My limewire was also working well, then suddenly stopped working, and I have a blue screen with error no. 06:0000:00000813. I checked the limewire site and saw there was a new version, and deleted my old version and downloaded the new. (This was after 2-3 days of trying to start limewire and getting same results even after rebooting). I had high hopes of the new version working, but it did not. I have the same error screen.

Help would be much appreciated!

Thank you,

dori

Sounds like it may be java related. It seems some machines prefer running on different versions. Check this link out.

SOLVED IT!!!!

Thanks for your reply. it wasn't Java, though (though it could be for someone else maybe?) I was stumped and kept searching online for the erros 06 : 0000 : 0000813, etc., and finally found a link about this exe file called Kb891711. I had never heard of it but as I read it I saw it was a MS update file people were installing as a critical update and having the same problems I was (though no one mentioned Limewire specifically), most mentioned were blue screen errors. I read extensively for an hour and then decided to "unclick" the file in the msconfig section. IT WORKED! I'm still nervous about not having a critical update file that I was told to have, but will cross that bridge later.

Good luck, everyone having this problem!
