Blank screen on start up
Help my Limewire Pro 4.8.1 is screwed since I played with the Event ID 4226 patch from http://www.lvllord.de.
Since applying the patch, Limewire loads with a completely blank window. I get the minimise, maximise & lose boxes in the top right corner and that's it. The whole of the rest of the window is blank. I tried removing the patch and even went as far as restoring my original tcpip.sys file. I've downloaded a fresh version of Limewire Pro and reinstalled from scratch, but no change. Can someone tell me what's happening here? Clearly my internet conncection works, because I can post this message  I can access email and everything, except that it Limewire.

Well, that's strange...
I was playing with my control panel and noticed that my local area network connection has a "repiar" button. Even though it said that my connection was working properly I clicked the button.
Hey presto, after a re-boot everything was working - including, this time, Limewire! Well, you learn something new every day... |
