so here's the deal. i deleted the .limewire folder with limewire alll closed out, including the little icon in the bottom right corner. then when i re-opened limewire, i had to go through the whole process of choosing the language, etc. all over again, and of course limewire would not connect (i have windows XP and all i get from limewire is "Quality:Connecting). by going through the process of answering all those questions, it puts the .limewire folder back in place! is there a way around it? what do i do? i dont understand, pleaseeeeee help me! thank you!

The .limewire folder is needed. Deleting the old one cleans out any corrupt files, then a new one is created.

Once you have a new .limewire folder and can't connect, then the problem is elsewhere, so you need to look at how your system connects to the internet next.

Search the forums for someone witha setup similar to yours, and see how they diagnosed and fixed (I hope) their connection problem.
