Unhappy Router issues?

Hi there,

two things I´m worried about...

1. I tried to build up a direct connection with a friend and got the message:

"Your computer is behind a firewall or router and cannot receive direct connections."

In fact I am sitting behind a router, but already forwarded the ports and configured the XP firewall...

2. While searching for help in this forum I found out that it´s "not good" if you can read this in a bug report:

"Received incoming this session: false"

I would greatly appreciate, if somebody could help me out with this.

I´m using Win XP Pro, Limewire Pro 4.8.1 and a T-Sinus 154 W-Lan Router.

Once again, thank you so much in advance...

Did you configure your firewalls for both TCP and UDP access?

You'll have to do port forwarding since that router doesn't support UPnP. However I can't help you more, your router isn't listed at portforward.com and is proprietary to your deutsh ISP... (may I recommand you buying a netgear, linksys or another known router with UPnP?) With a router supporting UPnP, LW can configure port forwarding for you.

Ciao
