limewire connects than disconnects after a couple of searches

my limewire connects for a little bit than starts to disconnect after a couple of searches. also, the connection to my internet get cut off also. I did add the ports that limewire told me to do. i have windows XP home.........PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
